That day started like any other Thursday in our agency – meetings, emails, phone calls, visuals, press releases… And then, one email changed everything!

Congratulations! You are a finalist in the IPRA GWA for 2024 for your entry: “Dr. Gabor Mate in the Balkans in the NGO campaign”.

And as tradition dictates at Smart Vision, we opened a bottle of wine, toasted, and wished our PR team the best of luck in the final!

Being finalists in this prestigious competition makes us proud, both because of the effort we invested in this project and because of putting the spotlight on the topic itself, which was its core – trauma.

Collaborating with Dr. Gabor Mate, renowned for his expertise, The Novak Djokovic Foundation opened discussions on trauma’s impact on early development and its prevention. Smart Vision with our communication project “Dr. Gabor Mate in the Balkans” achieved significant results:

  • 38 screenings of the documentary “The Wisdom of Trauma” were held in 22 cities in the region
  • 7 exclusive premieres of the documentary “The Wisdom of Trauma” were organized in: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Skopje, Podgorica, Sarajevo, and Ljubljana
  • 7 expert panels were organized and held after the premieres of the documentary “The Wisdom of Trauma” in the mentioned cities
  • 3 lectures were organized and held with the participation of Dr. Gabor Mate in Belgrade, Banja Luka, and Sarajevo
  • 2 full-day workshops with Dr. Gabor Mate were organized and held in Belgrade and Ljubljana
  • 9 episodes of the “Conversations about Parenthood” podcast was recorded
  • More than 600 unpaid media coverages
