After taking a break for a couple of years, we marked the beginning of autumn with a significant gathering of the GlobalCom PR network members. This year’s meeting, held in Dubai, the business centre of UAE, reunited partners and friends from over 20 countries – from South America to Japan. It was the first opportunity to reconnect and meet in person, after too many online meetings, and continue to strengthen our common business interests and intra-agency ties but also define processes, together as a global PR team.

The first day was dedicated to meeting new partners, exploring current trends and talking about topics and ideas for changing the current marketing environment. Some key directions we discussed are authenticity, personalization, content based on factual data and short and clear messages. A significant review was also done towards taking care of employees and their importance, building and nurturing trust with the media, business expansion, as well as new technologies and trends.

The second day was reserved for the Workshop. Divided into several working groups, we dealt with the network development through new ideas, business improvement, setting new goals and utilizing new tools. Apart from using this opportunity to get to know each other a little better, we also looked at different aspects and jointly took a step towards defining some new procedures that will be presented to all network members through a new action plan in the coming period.

The crown of this year’s summit was a gathering in the heart of the desert, where we got to know the traditions and culture that differ from ours, not only through cuisine but also through dance. The evening was crowned by an award ceremony for the most successful public relations campaigns in the Impact and Creative categories for B2B and B2C.

Congratulations to colleagues from Precious, Progress Communications, Kyodo PR, PR LATAM, 4D Communications, Antenna Group, GlobalComm and Spreckley.

Until we meet again, at the next year’s GCPR 2023 summit, with our dear friends from Japan as our hosts, we will continue to expand and improve our PR network with quality projects and successful interagency collaborations.
